Meet Our Board

Volunteers' Week starts tomorrow and lots of great people in the local area volunteer their time to help Village Greens run smoothly. Today we meet David, Janet, Rob & Becca – some of the members of the Village Greens Board.

David

The best thing about living in Prestwich: "Where else in Manchester can you be less than 5 miles from the City Centre and surrounded by Green Spaces, which is what helps Prestwich to retain its Village feel."

What else: David is a keen Archaeologist and is active in a number of local charities and groups in this field. In Prestwich he’s the Chair of the Prestwich and Whitefield Heritage Society, Chair and Organiser of the Prestwich Clough Day, Treasurer for the Friends of Prestwich Forest Park and Director and Treasurer for Philips Park Management Community Interest Company which was set up to manage and run the Barn in Philips Park as a Community space. On top of all of this he enjoys traveling and can’t wait to get away again soon.

He runs his own Coaching business helping business owners gain focus, drive action and grow through accountability. Plus he performs with Chorus of Others and occasionally appears on TV as an extra. He’s the founder of the Prestwich Village business group and the recent “it takes a village” campaign. He has a wife, three daughters and a dog just to make sure he stays grounded!
